Curried chicken

Curried chicken. Try this delicious chinese chicken with curry.


  • 1/4 cup sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder or to taste
  • 1/2 pound boned chicken, sliced into 1-inch squares
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Dash of pepper


Heat a frying pan with oil over medium heat.  Add the onions, then sprinkle the curry powder on top of the onions.  Toast in this manner for 2 minutes.  Add the chicken and stir for 1 minute but do not allow the curry power to burn.  Add the water, soy sauce, and salt.  Increase heat to high and cook for 5 minutes.  Stir in the cornstarch mixture, sugar, and pepper.

Serve with white cooked rice.
